Strategy plans to defend itself, of course, and while Strategy\u2019s stock has dropped 7.5% over the past day<\/a>, Bitcoin\u2019s continued performance bodes well for its approach<\/a>.<\/p>\n Strategy’s strategy could be prompting other players to buy more Bitcoin, even Trump Media.<\/p>\n Indeed, news has spread about a potential $3B fundraising effort from Trump Media & Technology Group to buy crypto, including Bitcoin.<\/p>\n But Trump Media\u00a0quickly downplayed the initial report from the Financial Times<\/a>, calling the FT \u2018fake news\u2019 and reporters who covered the topic \u2018dumb.\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n Even so, the move would fit in with earlier reports from TMTG, which pointed to a planned utility token for Truth Social.<\/p>\n President Trump hasn’t tried to hide his crypto connections or his desire to promote crypto as an integral part of his \u2018America First\u2019 vision for the US economy.<\/p>\n But, while his pro-crypto efforts on a regulatory level have been quite successful, his personal projects haven\u2019t always been as well received. That was once again the case at the much-ballyhooed crypto dinner.<\/p>\n Admission to the Trump crypto dinner last week was easy: just be in the top 200 holders of $TRUMP, the president\u2019s official meme coin.<\/p>\n Get enough $TRUMP and gain access to the most powerful man in the (crypto) world.
