Solo Bitcoin Mining Rakes In $371,000 in Payout

The crypto industry has seen a solo Bitcoin (BTC) miner that raked in 3.137 BTC in payout. This stash was worth about $371,000 at the time. This large payment came from the successful mining of a Bitcoin block, which was completed on Sunday. Small Bitcoin Miners Outstage Industrial-scale Mining The solo miner ran its operations through a service for solo miners known as Solo CK pool. Altogether, they mined block 910,440 and were rewarded the standard 3.125 BTC. They also got about 0.012 BTC in transaction fees. In total, the block came to 4,913 transactions, with the fees rounding up to $1,455. It is worth noting that Bitcoin’s hashrate has been dominated by massive industrial-scale mining operations for the longest time. Hence, the chances that a solo miner will hit such a milestone is quite slim. Times have changed, especially with the availability of efficient hardware. Now, smaller players have become equipped to claim the same block rewards in rare instances. It is safe to say that small players can conveniently compete effectively in a highly competitive space Solo Miners Break Out of Status Quo Recently, more solo miners have claimed block rewards without any help. Last month, one solo Bitcoin miner through the same Solo CK mining pool independently mined a Bitcoin block . At the end of the day, the miner earned a reward of over $372,000. The solo miner mined block 907283, which included 4,038 transactions and collected the standard 3.125 BTC. In April, another lone Bitcoin miner successfully processed a block, earning 3.125 BTC, roughly $259,637, including transaction fees. Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Reaches an ATH Bitcoin mining difficulty recently climbed to an All-time high (ATH) of 127.6 trillion, although the peak was expected to be temporary. The next difficulty adjustment, which was scheduled for August 9, was projected to bring the figure down by approximately 3%, to around 123.7 trillion. The average block time stood at 10 minutes and 20 seconds at the time, slightly above the protocol’s ideal of 10 minutes. This Bitcoin mining difficulty is usually adjusted on a fortnight basis and it is programmed into the Bitcoin protocol every 2,016 blocks.
