The new version, presented as part of the proposal, is a minimal expansion of ZKTokenV2. ZKTokenV3 introduces three key innovations aimed at managing the token supply within the ecosystem in a more transparent and programmable manner. The first is the public burn function, which allows any token holder to permanently burn any amount of ZK tokens. The third feature is that the maximum supply limit of 21 billion ZK tokens will be explicitly defined in the smart contract and made public.
