Japanese conglomerate Sony Group is reportedly on the verge of launching a cryptocurrency exchange platform in Japan. Sources indicate that Sony Group has acquired Amber Japan, previously known as the digital asset firm Amber Group’s Japanese branch. “Singapore-based Amber Group initially bought Japan’s regulated cryptocurrency platform DeCurret in early 2022, rebranding it to Amber Japan.
