Bit Digital bitcoin production down 19% in February amid increased network difficulty

Bit Digital ( NASDAQ: BTBT ) said Monday it produced 108.2 bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) in February, down 19% from the prior month, due to fewer days in the month and increased network difficulty. ~13.6K miners, representing 1.30 EH/s, were actively hashing in North America as of February 28. Bit Digital's ( BTBT ) treasury holdings at February-end stood at 696.5 BTC and 7.3K ETH, with a fair market value of ~$16.1M and $11.8M, respectively. A portion of its treasury holdings were sold to fund investments and for general corporate purposes. Bit Digital ( BTBT ) did not buy or sell any miners during February. Earlier, Bit Digital ( BTBT ) bitcoin output rose 3% sequentially in January on higher average hash rate .
