GSR II Meteora Acquisition Corp ( NASDAQ: GSRM ) and Bitcoin Depot, said on Friday that they had successfully closed their previously announced business combination. GSRM shares rose +4% in after hours trading. Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) climbed past $30,000 on June 21, following BlackRock's application to establish a bitcoin ETF. Traditional finance players such as Invesco ( IVZ ) and Wisdom tree ( WT ) have also filed for a spot bitcoin ETF.
