CleanSpark's hashrate reaches new high of 8.5 EH/s

CleanSpark ( NASDAQ: CLSK ) said Tuesday that its operational hashrate has reached an all-time high of 8.5 exahashes per second (EH/s) as its campuses in Washington and Dalton, Georgia, continued to come fully online. By comparison, its bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) mining capacity was just 2.9 EH/s in the year-earlier period. CLSK climbed 6.7% in late morning trading, as bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) edged up 0.4% to $29.1K. "What's more, as we've grown our hashrate we've also made meaningful improvements to our efficiency, which means we are capable of mining more bitcoin with less energy," said CEO Zach Bradford, noting "our current fleetwide efficiency sits at 29.2 J/TH." The miner will publish its fiscal third-quarter results after the close on Aug. 9, 2023. In mid-July, the company announced the launch of phase two of its mining campus in Washington, Georgia, a move that will boost its BTC mining compute power to 8.5 EH/s.
